Protosites
These are protosite projects created throughout my academic career at Seattle Central Community College. I was responsible for all aspects of each project: client interview, design concept, information architecture, wireframes, visual composites, final coding and design implementation.
Kitchen Concepts
Kitchen Concepts is an e-commerce kitchen and small appliance protosite with an emphasis on the user-experience and how it dictates the design, functionality, features and content of a website while successfully achieving the client’s business goals. The site features several jQuery and Javascript plug-ins, such as an image slider and tabbed panels, to create a more dynamic and user-driven site. The logo, branding, and advertisement spotlights are all original designs.
David The Dog Walker, LLC
This protosite is a re-design of an existing website, David The Dog Walker – a small dog-walking and training business in Seattle,WA. The intent of the project is to introduce the principles and practices of professional web site design, including site structure, page layout, navigation, color theory, typography and best coding practices. All graphics are original designs created specifically for this project.
Seattle Volleyball.net
This is a re-design of an existing website and is an exercise in understsanding the features and capabilities of Adobe Dreamweaver CS5. This project utilizes Dreamweaver in the creation of basic web pages, tables, forms and CSS stylesheets. More advanced features involve the use of Sprys, including sliding panels, Spry effects, dynamic menu bars, tooltips, and form validation. All graphics are original designs created specifically for this project.
Seattle Mobile Espresso
The is very first site I ever created...*gasp*. Behold it in all its marred glory. This is a re-design of a website for my local neighborhood coffee shop. I created this site after only 1½ months of learning HTML markup and CSS styling. Yes, the code could be better and I did not know what an external style sheet was, but I am still very proud of what I accomplished with so little experience. It is interesting to see how I have progressed since then.
